RUSSIAN state-owned TV has hosted an eery discussion over the scale of damage a nuclear weapon could have on New York if missiles were to fire at the United States.

Russian TV pundits have been debating the destructive power of the Kremlin's nuclear weapons arsenal amid rapidly worsening tensions between Moscow and the West. Evgeny Buzhinskiy, a former Lt General in Vladimir Putin's army told the Russian state-owned Russia1 channel how a 7.5 megaton nuclear rocket could be launched over the South Pole to devastate New York.
Mr Buzhinskiy told the Russian state-owned channel: "Americans don't have these kinds of rockets and never had them.
"What's attractive about the South Pole..."...
